Reading Rainbow

I'm jumping on the Jodi Picoult bandwagon a few years late and I don't exactly know what took me so long but I'm hooked. After seeing the trailer for My Sister's Keeper (and consequently balling my eyes out through the entire thing) I decided I had to read it before the movie came out. I've probably picked up this book up at Target fifty times only to put it back down. Maybe it looked to sad or something, but hey I like sad things and I love a good cry.

I'm reading the book now, and falling in love with Jodi's writing style and character development and this family's story. One of my favorite things in the whole world is getting lost in a book, and that's exactly where I plan to be for the next few days... maybe with a glass of wine and a big plate of pasta. Heaven on Earth I tell you!

  3. This is such a great book! I read it about four years ago, and can't wait to see the movie. I hear that they changed the ending a little bit than what it is in the book-- definitely a tear jerker!

  4. ya know I have been toying with the idea of Jodi Picoult for a while too. I think I may have to jump on the band wagon too...

  5. Reading??! What a concept! ;)

I've been wanting to find a good book to dive into during my "free time" (ha! ha!), so I wonder if this might be a contender? Everybody needs a good cry now and then!

  6. Prepare for a sob fest Al Gal. I cried like a baby...and then sobbed in the previews for the movie and had chills all over my body!

  7. I know I am stating the obvious here, but this post (and its responses) does nothing but highlight the fact that I don't understand anything about women.
